October Results Round up
Posted by Nobody on 30 October 2013
All of the PMVC regional teams have been in action this month and the results have been very positive –
EDVA – Pocket Rockets and Jesters both win their opening games – MVPs for Kyle Mitchell and Liene Knupke – both sides are unbeaten and are mid table due to having played less matches than other teams. The next match is on Tuesday 5th November at Tor Bridge Sports Centre (8pm warm up) pitting both sides against each other!! Be sure to be there to cheer your favourite PMVC side on.
SW Ladies – 4 wins from 4 and MVPs for Liene Knupke (2), Meg Leeds and Katrina Kozuleva – a great start from varied opposition and a great start of the defence of their SW League Title – They currently sit at the top of the League Table. The next match is on Sunday 3rd November (11am Warm up) at Tor Bridge Sports Centre and it is PMVC’s National Cup debut! Their opponents are Bristol Women who are in the National League Division 1. If PMVC win, we go on to the next Round, If we lose, we automatically get entering into the Shield Competition. Be sure to be there for what will be a great match.
SW Men – The busiest of the teams and a real test of depth of the squad – 4 wins from 6 – MVPs to Nick Boorman (2), Rob Young (2), Jamie Turner and Tibo Daigne. The two losses were more unfortunate as we were in the ascendancy when Kyle got injured and we gambled with a smaller squad for the trip to Truro. They currently sit in 2nd place in the league table. Next action is this weekend on 3rd November against City of Bristol and Bristol 2 in Bristol (of course!). Good luck guys!
