First Ladies Development Tournament Result

This past weekend on sunday 28th September, at the Riverside Leisure Centre in Exeter, our two Ladies Development Teams took part in the first of three Ladies Development Tournaments for this season.
The teams represented were much stronger than in previous tournaments with Petroc Academy, Torexe and SW U16s all fielding strong squads. Our Ivybridge Tigers team were playing in their 3rd Development Tournament and showed great improvement from their last two outings. The team (Chloe Burns, Emily Tutty, Rosy Stanesby, Bryony Ford, Immy Bulgen and Jess Trigg) played great against strong attacking play from the other teams and their coach - Dil Teli - is happy with their performance despite finishing 6th and he has plenty to work on with them at training for their next competitive outing.
Our Vipers Team were making their second appearance and with a different squad from last time around (Victoria Wilkins, Chelsea Mitchell, Karey Mayers, Jeanette Green and Lourdes Rechi). This was a chance for our budding Junior Leaders (Victoria and Chelsea) to gain experience organising a team and the results were really positive. Despite being short a player, the other teams and organisers were very accomodating and helped everyone gain valuable court time experience.
With 4 players in the 2 teams making their competitive debut and the discovery of some Junior talent, it was a successful weekend that bodes well for the rest of the season and future seasons. Im sure that the teams cannot wait until the next development tournament scheduled for 23rd November.
