PMVC Scorpions Vs Exeter Squalls

An awesome 4-1 win for the Mighty Scorpions! We took 10 to the game and everyone had at least 3 sets on court.

First set saw PMVC run riot over Exeter Squalls winning 25-13 with some impressive play by captain Beckie. The second set saw Nikki make her PMVC debut and Exeter started to organise themselves better to lead 18-17 but the Scorpions took control to win 25-21 and a 2 set lead.
3rd set saw PMVC dominate and lead 21-14 but a fine run of serves from Squalls saw them re...verse their fortunes and seal the 3rd set 25-22.
The 4th set was edgy due to the finish of the previous set but the Orange team wanted to win the game on their own terms - some fine play saw Scorpion seal the win with a set win of 25-17.

The fifth and final set saw our 3 most experienced played take a seat on the bench and the newer players took off to win 15-9.

Great performances all round with Karis making a huge impact setting, Greta mixing up the sets and attacks in the middle, Lizzie showed huge promise with some excellent setting, Viktor and Georgina propping up the middle nicely, Luke with some mighty fine serving and all round play, Nikki making a great impression on debut and finally James also making his PMVC debut by getting MVP on his first outing! - Great enthusiasm and spirit and even teased a bit of setting on one knee!

Great game with great people - thanks for the great response to my impassioned timeouts!!! Thank you to the Pirates for cheering (or more likely heckling!) prior to your game afterwards too!
