Match Report |
There was a high standard of volleyball on show throughout most of this match with Jesters fielding 3 new players in, Beckie Middleton, Luis Stansbury and Marc Whaley.
All the new players had fantastic debuts linking in with the new found team ethos perfectly - For sets 1, 3 and 5 PMVC were able to go toe to toe with the league leaders even taking the lead but Storm showed their experience and momentum in the League by closing the door in each set.
Newly appointed captain for Jesters, Dan Tapson continued to impress with a good attacking game and both he and Sam Crompton were found well by setter Whaley. Luke Allen-Gdanitz and Steffen Shageer were dominant in the block at times and Jesters should be proud of how they competed. They were unlucky not to at least get a set off the visiting team. Crompton picked up the MVP for Jesters with his dominance at the net with some high quality quick attacks.
Ex PMVC players Kyle Mitchell and Sam Oldfield controlled the game well for Storm with Oldfield picking up the MVP. |
