| Match Report | Scorpions had their first game with some familiar faces from past seasons and some making their PMVC and EDVA debut! Torexe Vulcans were decent opposition and covered the court very well with some big fellas dominating the net for much of the game. However we put up a pretty decent effort ourselves! Having lost the 1st set by some margin, we came back strong in the second set taking it 25-23. It was close in the 3rd with the play of the day with Greta and Luke working well at... back court to snatch back a point we had no business in winning!!! Torexe regained the lead taking it 25-18. In the 4th set we rallied well and had some great momentum behind us to take the set 25-18 and the game into a 5th set decider. Sadly we made one too many errors in the 5th and lost it 15-11 but it was a brilliant team effort by all! Well done to Nadia, John, Viktor and Greta making their competitive debuts. Also to Beckie, Luke and The return of GG. It was a pleasure to play today. And finally big Yarp to Greta for winning MVP too!! Looking forward to our next game on 22nd October at Plymstock 1pm. Hope you can all be there to support us and get back in the winning habit! Go PMVC!! |
